Mr. Yeung is a prominent figure in Hong Kong's environmental movement,
boasting over 30 years of experience in sustainability. From 1993 to 1995, he
was funded by the UNEP to lead a reforestation project in Guizhou Province,
China. In 1995, he initiated an eco-village project in collaboration with South
China Agricultural University.
Between 2004 and 2008, Mr. Yeung worked for LESS Limited, where he
developed investment criteria for environmental projects in China, potentially establishing the first fund globally to create its own stringent ESG system. Currently, he leads the ESG team at Ascent Partners Advisory Service Limited, supporting over 500 listed companies in Hong Kong with their ESG reporting. In 2019, he collaborated with Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the UN to provide training for the Ministry of Finance of Bhutan, assisting them in issuing their first-ever national Green Bond.
From 2022 to 2024, he was invited by UN ESCAP as a special consultant to help develop the Asia Pacific Green Deal. Mr. Yeung is widely recognized as a respected authority in sustainable development and environmental protection.
